Welcome to Canada's marketplace for trading card games. Whether you're here to buy, sell, or both, this guide will get you started.

Creating Your Account

CTCGX uses secure sign-in through trusted providers. No passwords to remember.

How to Sign Up
  1. Click the Login button in the top right
  2. Choose your preferred sign-in method: Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, or Discord
  3. Authorize CTCGX to access your basic profile information
  4. Your account is created automatically on first sign-in

You must be at least 18 years old to use CTCGX due to payment processing requirements.

After Signing Up

Once logged in, you can immediately start browsing and buying. To sell, you'll need to create a seller profile (see below).

You can customize your profile, username, and notification preferences in Settings.

Buying Cards

Finding and purchasing cards is straightforward. Browse, add to cart, checkout.

Search for cards or browse by game. Filter by set, condition, price, and more.

Add to Cart

Add items from multiple sellers. Each seller's items become a separate order.

Checkout

Pay securely with credit or debit card. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

After You Order
  • You'll receive an email confirmation with order details
  • Sellers ship within 3 business days (usually faster)
  • Track your order from the Orders page
  • Funds are held until delivery is confirmed, protecting your purchase

Start Selling

Anyone can sell on CTCGX, from casual collectors offloading extras to established stores. No minimum inventory required.

Who Can Sell?
  • Individual collectors with a few cards to sell
  • Online-only sellers without a physical store
  • Local game stores with a retail location
  • High-volume sellers with large inventories

You don't need a business or physical address. Select "Online Only" when setting up if you don't have a storefront.

Setting Up Your Store
  1. Click Start Selling to create your seller profile
  2. Enter your store name and description
  3. Complete Stripe Connect onboarding for payments (identity verification required)
  4. Configure your shipping options and rates
  5. Start listing your inventory
Fees
Simple, transparent pricing
  • 2% platform fee (beta rate, 5% standard)
  • 2.9% + $0.30 Stripe processing
  • No listing fees or subscriptions

Getting Paid
When you receive your money
  • Funds held until delivery confirmed
  • Released 2 days after delivery (tracked)
  • Released 14 days after ship date (untracked)
  • Payout to your bank via Stripe
