Buyer Protection

Your purchases are protected. Here's how we keep you safe when buying on CTCGX.

How Protection Works

When you buy on CTCGX, your payment is held securely until your order is delivered. This protects you if something goes wrong.

1
You Pay

Payment is processed securely through Stripe and held by CTCGX.

2
Seller Ships

The seller ships your order. Funds remain protected until delivery.

3
You Receive

After delivery is confirmed and you've had time to inspect, payment releases to the seller.

What's Covered

Item Not Received

If your order never arrives and there's no proof of delivery, you're entitled to a full refund.

Not As Described

Received something different from the listing? Wrong card, wrong condition, or missing items—you're covered.

Damaged in Shipping

If items arrive damaged due to inadequate packaging, the seller is responsible for resolution.

Counterfeit Items

Fake or counterfeit cards are strictly prohibited. If you receive one, you get a full refund. See our Authenticity Policy.

If Something Goes Wrong

Step 1: Contact the Seller

Most issues can be resolved directly with the seller. Message them through your order page explaining the problem. Give them a chance to make it right—most sellers want happy customers.

Tip: Include photos if relevant (damaged items, wrong card received, etc.)

Step 2: Open a Dispute

If you can't resolve it directly, open a formal dispute from your order page. Describe the issue and upload any evidence (photos, screenshots of messages).

Seller response: Sellers have 3 days to respond before the dispute is automatically escalated.

Step 3: CTCGX Review

If the seller doesn't resolve it, CTCGX steps in. We review evidence from both sides—tracking info, photos, messages, listing details—and make a final decision. This may result in a full refund, partial refund, or ruling in the seller's favor.

Tips for Safe Buying

Choose tracked shipping for valuable orders

Tracking protects both you and the seller. For orders over $50, tracked shipping is required.

Check seller ratings

Look at the seller's transaction history and ratings before purchasing, especially for high-value items.

Inspect items promptly

When your order arrives, check it right away. Document any issues with photos before handling the cards too much.

Keep packaging for damage claims

If items arrive damaged, keep the original packaging. It may be needed for carrier claims or as evidence.

Message sellers before disputing

Most sellers want to resolve issues quickly. A friendly message often gets faster results than jumping straight to a dispute.

Leave Feedback

After your order is delivered, you have 60 days to leave a rating and review. Your feedback helps other buyers and rewards good sellers.

Be honest and fair in your ratings. Reviews should reflect your actual transaction experience.
